Having been a consultant on many ERP selections over the past 10 years, these are some of the top Process Manufacturing software that we continue to see on selections. Each of the listings has a quote link for getting costs. As to advantages and disadvantages, these are particular to the company that is implementing them, so there is no one-size-fits-all. It really depends upon the requirements of the buying company.

Re: The Top 10 Process Manufacturing Software

Do you have any proof on these rankings you've given?

The ERP vendor from which you are purchasing.
Its policies, Its clients (especially clients to your working domain).

Policies may include policies like killing a product version over a period of time. Due to this policy a particualar company has to buy a fresh licenses or implement the newer version of the product too. This takes an investment again and again the whole projected ROI out of the ERP again has to be recalculated.

Also to remember the support policy. Is it a lifetime support policy given by a vendor?

These are the two very important things to be kept in mind while selecting an ERP vendor

Re: ERP Manufacturing Software

The views as per the selection of a particular ERP for Manufacturing Industries is accepted. There are few more thing I would like to add.

Firt and foremost, it is necessary to know the history and the background of the ERP vendor you are working with. Its clients across various domains and especially its clients in your domain of expertise.

While going for and ERP package it is also important to think about the support one can get out of that ERP vendor. It is a Around the globe support provided? Does that vendor kills a product over its lifetime? Because if it does, then a company has necessarily to buy the new upgrade license and a fresh implementation to be done. That means more of investment.

These are some more things to be kept in mind while selecting an ERP vendor.
By the way, in Russian SAP community SAP consultants are often called "sappers".
I think it's beacuse of complexity and risks of ERP implementation. You make a wrong move - and BANG.
Still, i've got a useful thing to add:
ERP Vendors and Products overview.
